Lt. Hyun vs Vane: Which Valaverse Figure Fits Your Squad

Quick Answer

Both Lt. Hyun and Vane are 1/12 scale adult-collector figures with interchangeable heads and hands, a display stand, and the same .76 lb box footprint. If you want the lower entry price, Vane at $16.79 is the practical pick; if you want the extra interchangeable head and don't mind paying $20.15, Lt. Hyun gives you more display options. Neither is a child's toy, so plan for adult display either way.

What Actually Differs Between Lt. Hyun and Vane

On paper these two figures are close siblings. Both are 1/12 scale action figures with multiple accessories, interchangeable head and hands, and a display stand. Both weigh .76 lbs and ship in an 11" x 7.5" x 2" box. Both are intended for adult collectors only, and both carry the same warning about sharp points, small parts, and choking hazards for children under 13.

The meaningful differences are the head count and the price. Lt. Hyun's listing specifies interchangeable head and hands, so you can swap the portrait on the shelf. Vane's listing specifies interchangeable hands but does not list an interchangeable head, so treat Vane as a single-portrait figure unless the product page says otherwise. Lt. Hyun is priced at $20.15 against a $27.99 comparison price, while Vane is $16.79 against the same $27.99 comparison price. That's a $3.36 gap for the extra head option.

How to Choose for Squad Building

Squad building rewards variety in silhouettes and portraits more than it rewards raw figure count. If you already own several single-portrait figures, Lt. Hyun's swappable head lets you change the read of a lineup without buying another body. If your squad is thin on bodies and you're trying to fill out a shelf on a budget, Vane's lower price stretches further per figure.

One practical note: both figures are scheduled to ship the week of 6/8/26, so if you're ordering both, expect them to arrive together and plan your display space accordingly. Neither listing includes option types, so if you need a specific variant, confirm with the product page before ordering rather than assuming a choice exists.

Where the VANGUARD Missile Launcher Add-On Fits

If your squad includes Action Force Vanguard vehicles, the VANGUARD Stealth Gray Missile Launcher Add-On at $4.19 is a cheap way to add a weapon station to the display. It fits all Action Force Vanguard vehicles and includes 12 non-firing missiles plus 3 blasting missiles in three sizes and 1 rear blast effect. The launcher turret can be angled upward for a firing pose. The Vanguard vehicle itself is not included, so this only makes sense if you already own one.

This add-on doesn't attach to Lt. Hyun or Vane directly. It's a vehicle accessory, so buy it to complete a Vanguard vehicle, not to upgrade a figure.

What You Give Up Either Way

Neither figure is a play-grade toy. Both are adult-collector items with small parts and sharp points, and both are explicitly not recommended for children under 13. If you're buying for a younger collector, neither Lt. Hyun nor Vane is the right call.

You also give up certainty on option types. The catalog records for both figures don't list available option types, so if you want a specific paint variant or accessory set, verify on the product page before checkout. And if you're comparing against the jester-bloody-variant-463e81f6d8d6d61d487e2d77-1488490">Jester Bloody Variant at $18.89, note that it also lists interchangeable hands and a display stand but not an interchangeable head, so it sits between these two on features and price.

Trade-Offs at a Glance

• Portrait flexibility vs. price: Lt. Hyun lists an interchangeable head; Vane lists interchangeable hands only. Lt. Hyun costs $20.15, Vane costs $16.79. Pay the extra $3.36 if you want to change the figure's face on the shelf; save it if you don't.
• Squad fill vs. squad variety: Both figures share the same body scale, weight, and box size, so the choice is about how many bodies you need versus how many looks you want. Buy Vane to add numbers; buy Lt. Hyun to add a second portrait.
• Vehicle accessory vs. figure upgrade: The VANGUARD Missile Launcher Add-On fits Vanguard vehicles, not figures, and the vehicle is sold separately. Budget for it only if you already own a Vanguard vehicle.

Product Facts

• Lt. Hyun: 1/12 scale action figure with multiple accessories, interchangeable head and hands, and a display stand; ships the week of 6/8/26; $20.15 against a $27.99 comparison price. The interchangeable head is the main reason to pay more than Vane, and the 6/8/26 ship week tells you when to clear shelf space.
• Vane: 1/12 scale action figure with multiple accessories, interchangeable hands, and a display stand; ships the week of 6/8/26; $16.79 against a $27.99 comparison price. Lower price per body makes Vane the better pick when you're filling out a squad rather than chasing portrait variety.
• VANGUARD Stealth Gray Missile Launcher Add-On: VANGUARD Stealth Gray Missile Launcher Add-On fits all Action Force Vanguard vehicles, includes 12 non-firing missiles, 3 blasting missiles in three sizes, and 1 rear blast effect; turret can be angled upward; vehicle not included. A low-cost way to add a weapon station to a Vanguard vehicle, but it won't attach to Lt. Hyun or Vane.
